40 years ago, we attended Presidio Middle School. After school, we could take the 38-Geary bus, and end up at Rainbow Records at Stanyan, or Record Factory at Parker.
At this time, Ritchie Blackmore's band, Rainbow, had a new album, Bent Out Of Shape. We liked its "Street Of Dreams." Actually, I remember going northwest on Columbus, and going to the iconic Tower Records at Jones.
As for the video for "Street Of Dreams," we never saw it. Years later, we would learn that that was because MTV had banned it, on account of the hypnotism scenes.
"Street Of Dreams" isn't a hard song, but still nicely done, with David Rosenthal's keyboards, and Joe Lynn Turner's lead vocals. JLT would then join Yngwie Malmsteen's Rising Force.
