Barry White's "Never, Never Gonna Give Ya Up" is now 50 years-old. As preschool kids in the 70s, we'd hear neighbors playing and listening to this. Back then, one of my babysitters remarked, "With music this good, you don't need children's songs any more."

But in the 80s, the media pulled back on "Never, Never Gonna Give Ya Up."

After the calendar turned to the 1990s, 70s nostalgia made a comeback. Radio stations once again played White's "Never, Never Gonna Give Ya Up." If we were at each other's college dorm room or apartment, hearing "Never, Never Gonna Give Ya Up" made us not want to leave.

Nowadays, retail stores target older customers, by playing "Never, Never Gonna Give Ya Up." Be that as it may, this song has reached younger generations.
