30 years ago, I bowled in a couple leagues at San Francisco's Japantown Bowl. And that's where I first heard about Ace Of Base. "All That She Wants" played over the PA, and we all looked at each other.

If you had "ace" in your name, your name would be incorporated into Ace Of Base. For example, Mason became "Mace Of Base," Tracy became "Trace Of Base," and my friend Stacey became "Stace Of Base."

Today, Stacey and I went to Teaspoon. And of course, Ace Of Base's "All That She Wants" played.

The song is actually about a woman who has a series of one-night stands. In this case, "baby" isn't an infant. Rather, it's one more guy. The song also served as a warning to guys. If you go for the woman, it'll only be a one-night stand.
