In September 1988, the school year kicked off with, among others, Bon Jovi's "Bad Medicine." My friends had music tastes all over the popular music spectrum, but lite metal like this brought us together. We didn't know it at the time, but the girls would parlay academic excellence into careers in medical fields.

My wife may not be a doctor, but she still loves poking fun at "Bad Medicine's" lyrics. She did a double-take, when informed that "Bad Medicine" is now 35 years-old: "35?! I turned 15, that semester."
