Ah, stuck on San Francisco's Montgomery Street. 30 years ago, Audio Excellence (Classe', Martin-Logan, Theta, Thiel, Wireworld) were right across the street from the Transamerica Pyramid. You could traverse Montgomery Street, to get to Ultimate Sound (Audio Alchemy, AudioQuest, Kimber, MIT, Monster Cable, Rega, Sonographe, XLO), then located on Kearny near Sutter.
During the hot and dry Fall 1993 quarter, we loved The Ocean Blue's then-new album, Beneath The Rhythm And Sound. And we liked an album cut, "Either/Or."
With so many bewildering audio choices, I had to get away. I went with Mei Sue, to Marin. Since I had just gotten a Theta Cobalt 307 DAC, I needed a digital cable. We had used "Either/Or" to judge. About the AQ Digital Pro, Kimber AGDL, and XLO Ref Type 4, Mei Sue just shrugged, "They're all just kind of different. There isn't one, which stands out from the rest."
