Here in the Bay Area, the Fall of 1993 was hot and dry. That was when my friends from UC Berkeley discovered a really interesting "progressive death metal" song, Cynic's "Veil Of Maya."

I then used "Veil Of Maya" as an audiophile reference. It helped to convince me to get a Theta Cobalt 307 DAC. Once I got the DAC, "Veil Of Maya" was used to evaluate digital cables.
