Oh oh oh! My high school was chock full of nerd girls. The vast majority stayed home, and played the bookworm role to the max. But then there were the few who came out to play sports with me and my few guy friends.
That meant that our girls got bruised, bloodied, nicked-up, and sometimes injured. But you know what? Even though we, being physically small, often got run over, these were fun times. The girls liked learning how to play the sorts, something our P.E. teachers did not teach. And what brought us together and pumped us up? The music.
What kind of music? Typically hair metal. And that ear candy, Europe's "Superstitious" elevated us. And indeed, because our nerd girls did not have much experience in team sports, they did not have the built-in superstitions we guys had.
To this day, those nerd girls, now middle-aged moms, will get pumped up, if material like Europe's "Superstitious" is reproduced cleanly. Yeah, yeah. If you are an audiophile, that is either your (a) worst nightmare, or (b) dream girl :-)
