OMD, "Telegraph"




In 1983, which was (sigh) 40 years ago, OMD came out with "Telegraph." In those days, we just had landline phones. No cellular service, VOIP, Wi-Fi, etc. Geez, we did not even have Caller ID and call waiting! If you had someone's number, you called. Maybe his parents answered, and you had to ask, "May I speak to Mr. Audiophile?"

Here in San Francisco, there were so many wires overhead. Nobody told us which ones were for phone, power, or MUNI.

OMD's "Telegraph" wasn't all that common, back in its heyday. It's still not common, but that's what makes it special.
