15 years ago, my friend Jacey took me to a Himalayan salt sauna. On this little excursion, we came across Boz Scaggs' "She Was Too Good To Me," which was from his then-new album, Speak Low. While breathing in the salty air, Jacey did speak low.
"She Was Too Good To Me" was from Chet Baker's 1974 album of same name. In turn, that song was "He Was Too Good To Me," by Rodgers & Hart.
When I returned to work in San Francisco's Tenderloin, I went downtown with coworkers. At the Rasputin which was on Powell, we overheard Scaggs' "She Was Too Good To Me," which really fit the mood. Kinda hard to believe that that was 15 years ago.
