Earlier this year, my friends (3 husbands on left, 3 wives on right) went hiking in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Because of the rains, many of the trails were muddy. At the same time, we heard Catherine Wheel's The Nude, which (a) doesn't get a lot of airplay now, and (b) came out 30 years ago, in 1993.

That was a time, when MTV were winding down the airing of music videos. But they did broadcast Catherine Wheel's "The Nude," which rubs mud on a naked woman's body.

As for my friends, many of them had their first public nude experience at the north end of San Francisco's Baker Beach.

Catherine Wheel's bigger hit was "Crank," which, now that we think about it, also does not get much airplay.
