"You guys are off-key!"

35 years ago, during the summer of 1988, some of my friends lived in San Francisco's Chinatown. The rest of us got off at Embarcadero station, walked along the Bay, and met up with those friends who lived in Chinatown.

We got to the Broadway pier, and some of us hummed Van Halen's "Feels So Good." Karin (with an "i"), who was in the orchestra, remarked, "You guys are off-key!"

So. When we were at one of our friends' homes, we listened to Van Halen's OU812, on both cassette and CD. The latter proved that the recording or playing is off-key. And when we were singing along, we were just mimicking that. Nevertheless, we still like "Feels So Good," and that is heightened, because Bay Area radio stations don't play it.
