From Classic Rock to Progessive to hip hop to today's hot new tunes!

Most of my friends got their drivers licenses during the 1990s. Perhaps because we were already living in the Bay Area, we knew about local band Primus' new 1993 album, Pork Soda. And oh ho ho, the song "DMV" caused us to exclaim, "Finally!!!"

Getting our drivers licenses opened up our mid-90s exploration of California. Above, Kaye drove carefully and slowly, but you can tell she was, at the time, a new driver.

Interestingly, during the Fall 1993 semester, Primus released a video for "DMV." It was shot at UC Berkeley's Greek Theater. At the time, many of my close friends (but not Kaye) were Cal students.
