Oh ho ho. 30 years ago, we started to see the video for Blind Melon's "No Rain." It depicts the "Bee Girl" getting mocked and ridiculed, which audiophiles identified with (oops!). But you know what? That made it okay to wear yellow-and-black.

In the "No Rain" video, the Bee Girl stumbles upon fellow bees, in a field. And that inspired us UC Santa Cruz kids to go out onto the Great Meadow, and enjoy our last week, before graduation.
