When we were in high school in the late-80s, our girls, even if they were old enough, typically were not tall and/or heavy enough, to donate blood.

But by Spring 1993, the girls (they weren't adult women yet) were heavy enough, to donate blood. And that's when we started to hear yet another version of "(I Can't Help) Falling In Love With You." But this time, it was UB40's reggae-fied dance version, which did not sound like previous iterations.

Nowadays, some of my friends' daughters are old, tall, and heavy enough, to donate blood. One actually has a hole/scar on her left elbow. That's why she says she should have used her right arm.

There continue to be new versions of "(I Can't Help) Falling In Love With You." But because it's different, UB40's version still gets airplay.
