In the summer of 1992, the movie A League Of Their Own had a Carole King song, "Now And Forever." This would appear in King's Spring 1993 album, Colour Of Your Dreams.
My downstairs college neighbor, Ms. Hildegarde, had that CD. She'd bring it up to my apartment, and then want to blank out mentally, and go sunbathing. Wearing a string bikini, she got burnt. Despite being burnt, King's "Hold Out For Love" made her exclaim, "I ain't holding out for anything. School year's almost over" and told us to hit the beaches. So she "went all Baywatch," and donned a red one-piece.
Ms. Hildegarde remarked, "Now that we are into the 90s, it's out with the 80s. And that also means that the 70s are making a comeback." While flipping sand with her foot, she continued, "But with all that's going on, I'm afraid that" Carole King is going get buried. Indeed, it did not seem like King's Colour Of Your Dreams went anywhere.
