Has just released a new cd called "By myself" so it is just piano and voice. She sings the songs of Arthur Schwartz.
What can I say this is most probably the most original jazz vocal cd I heard in years. I did not know the songs except for "Haunted heart"
Meredith singing is just so understated but glows with sophistication.
Her piano playing has the same qualities, some of Bill Evans influence is evident.
The recording of just piano and voice is superb, intimate,you will be charmed by the warmth of Meredith voice. A stunner.
