...at Symphony he turned in (out?) a great Tchaikovsky Fourth, with an orchestra whose recording history with that work already is stellar. Dozens -- or more-- phrases were shaped, that I had only heard before as note-spinning. A grand performance in the grand Thirties tradition, definitely not "international" in style.Tomorrow night I'll be able to listen again, and also get the Bartok Second Piano Concerto and more under my belt.
