The Stanton and Gemini have short, straight tonearms that won't allow you to correctly mount the cartridge for musical playback-these two are totally unacceptable. I'm not so sure about the Numark (it does have an s-shaped arm) but it's description sounds like it's designed for scratching. Plus, Numarks are historically a POS.
The AT (though I have no experience with it) actually looks pretty good, especially for the money. It has a built-in phono stage (in case your receiver doesn't have one) and comes complete with a cartridge (though I'd change that ASAP-your Shure would be good). Might be worth a shot.
This is a really tough price range for a tt/arm. It wasn't clear if you still owned a Technics SL-12XX-if you do, it would be far and away the best choice. It's a turntable that many audiophile-types use for nothing more that what you're after-listening to music.
You might post this on the Vinyl Asylum for more responses than you're getting here. But remember-those short, straight arms are for scratching only-not even good for dj-ing.
