With sufficient power the Thiels sound better than the Tannoys. Of course I can't drive them very well with EL34 or KT77 tubes in the Rogue amp but man do the Thiels come alive with the more the powerful NAD C298. They offer deeper tighter bass, better transparency, and bigger soundstage. I keep the Tannoys around if I'm playing around with less power. I also brought out the SMSL D400EX DAC and Schiit Kara preamp today. I enjoy swapping gear out now and then. I still have my TT, phono, a few cartridges, and very few LP's if I get the vinyl itch. I rarely do anymore.Previously before the equipment swap
