I've seen some discussion about some YouTube videos which can apparently play in 5.0 or 5.1, but I can't get it to work in that mode myself. Apparently there's supposed to be some YouTube setting you have to change to get 5.0 or 5.1, but I haven't found it.
For instance, in the following video, I get Left, Right, and Center - but the Center is a phantom channel derived from the Left and Right, with no actual sound coming out of the Center speaker. Similarly, the Left Surround and Right Surround sounds play from the Left Front and Right Front speakers. Just wonderin'. . .
