China will lose its "developing" status so that all shipments are not subsidized by the rest of the world. That favored status intended for countries like Cuba or Botswana and costs the US about $300M per year. They have a space program and have landed a craft on the dark side of the moon for heaven's sake!
That's one reason why getting stuff there is dirt cheap. Forget their utter lack of environmental and worker rights and conditions we take for granted elsewhere. They don't give a crap. About their people nor the rest of the world.
