I didn't run into the same problem with Qobuz. I had tried it for a year streaming onto my PC but I added a device to my audio system that offered support for Qobuz or Tidal via it's own app and figured that Tidal afforded the best chance that it would actually work I went in that direction.
The device, a Cambridge Audio MXN10, is also a Roon endpoint and I think ultimately I will be going in that direction.
I never had a problem with the Qobuz app running on the PC (other than it couldn't find outputs on the network). Just maybe I wasn't looking at the same artists and music as you.
