What in the world are you talking about? I don't think checking the alignment of my cartridge once in the last six years is considered constant fiddling, and the only expense incurred relative to vinyl, other than the vinyl itself, were rice paper sleeves for new acquisitions. Sure some guys change the VTA for every record, but then there's the lazy audiophile like me who couldn't be bothered with such things.
