RE: I canceled my Discover Card a few years ago

I had problems with Discovery, too. I had my W2 form stolen from the mail, about 5 years ago. Someone, then used the info to get 5 or 6 credit cards. Then, ran up a $20K bill, over one weekend, buying all kinds of things, online from all over the world.

Every company's card which was a fraud immediately cancelled the accounts and waived any of the costs incurred. Except, Discovery. They stopped the card, but it took 6 month of phone calls, police reports, many emails, for them to finally wave the charges on their card for that one weekend.

I will never get one of their cards.
