I tend to agree. When I get speakers in from the manufacturer, I always double box them, with lots of padding stuff in-between. Sending most manufacturers' gear out the way it arrives is asking for trouble. Both Blue Circle and Krell (the latter a while back) enclose their gear in thick foam blocks, which strikes me as ideal. A lot of other stuff comes in with some kind of corner reinforcement and not a whole lot more. Both UPS and FedEx are relatively hard on stuff but we are shipping "glass" so to speak and need to take precautions.

All of this said, I would love to travel invisible alongside one of my boxes just to see how it's treated...or would I?!!
