PS/3 was just about unattainable in Nov and Dec and eBay prices were sometimes astronomical, but in the past week or two, I've seen "PS/3 in stock" signs on EB Games and Gamestop stores, sometimes for days at a time. Recent PS/3 auctions on eBay look weak also, with some new units selling for well below purchase price. A lack of any really compelling games to justify the $500-600 purchase price is a problem. I get the impression that this crowd doesn't care much that it can also play high definition movies.In the stores, customers seem to be asking mostly for Nintendo Wii.
Personally, I'm not commited to either format, but that may change if The Criterion Collection adopts one for their entire catalog.
