Re: Good Example.....TG Audio..

Bob Crump aka TG Audio's HSR power cables are nothing like LAT power cables in the least. Having said that, Bob is a "repackager", but makes no specific claims for his products other than you might like what they do for your system.

As a side note, the cordage that Bob selected for his AC power cord has very specific electrical characteristics that you won't find in most other units on the market. This is true whether they are of proprietary manufacture or another "me too" cable repackager. If you ask Bob why he selected the design and materials used, he's not shy about telling you. His methods and viewpoints are all valid and have a lot of sound engineering practices ( no pun intended ) behind them. I'm not saying that these are the best power cords that you can buy or that they are worth hundreds upon hundreds of dollars, but that at least some of the "repackagers" have more valid products and reasoning behind what they sell than just offering something to bring money in the door.

One more thing. Bob may use "commonly available" parts in his HSR power cords, but he also performs some other "tweaks" to them. Whether or not you like these cords or they perform well in your system is obviously in the ear of the beerholder : ) Sean
