...run away. Run away now. Toss it.I remember spending hard-earned money (that I shouldn't have spent) to buy that sucker new. I went from my wonderful Marantz 2220B to that shiney 70 WPC, "Natural Sound" Yamaha with the pretty digital tuner. It always sounded like crap to me. I even lugged my speakers and the little Marantz back to the store to show them the difference and they just shrugged and said I had to get used to it.
Later, the dinky little control switches started giving problems constantly. There's no telling how many times I had to take the top off and try to clean them, especially the input selector. Then the tuner stopped working correctly. Search mode would run away and never lock on etc. After storing it for a long time, I passed it on to my son and it went up in smoke when he had some friends over one night. I told him to chunk it.
There's no telling how many pieces of audio equipment I've purchased over the years and I can honestly say that one was the worst.
