That's interesting.I don't have that problem playing the USB stored DSD tracks, only when I burn the PCM cuts into a CD.
But, my little amp and CD player both have volume controls so I can easily boost the sound level of these.
You'll laugh, but I play the USBs on a cheap Sony blueray player on my main system and they sound phenomenal with plenty of volume headroom.
You can differentiate between the between the PCM and DSD versions of any cut.
I usually listen to the DSD version. The PCM is slightly harsher, but not in a negative way.
Thanks for the streaming information. Eventually I will look into this. But, I still buy a few lps each year.
