Audiophile reclockers ? Not much...........

All modern USB DACs reclock the USB signal internally on their inputs so there's no need for outboard reclockers. But audiophile companies will lead you to believe otherwise. The only legit reason one might have for such a reclocker is to drive an unusually long run of USB cable to the DAC.... tens of feet or more.

Here's a typical XMOS USB receiver used in many DACs. How many internal clocks do we see? The XMOS receiver has its own internal reclockers.




Even a simple cheapie USB HUB from Amazon and the likes have their own internal clock circuit that 'reclocks' the signal. If someone THINKS they NEED a reclocker they can buy a cheapie USB HUB ;-)
