RE: NOS DACS better?

Most of the cdps from the early to the mid '90's used 1 bit DAC.
The '80s players started w/ 14 bit DACs, then advanced to 16 bit DACs, with the best being the Philips TDA1543 16 bit DAC that is still used today by the likes of 47 Labs and Opera Audio as the choice NOS DAC. In the '80 Philips/ Magnavox did not impliment NOS, but had 4x OS. The '89-'91 Magnavox's w/ the 1543 DACs are still pretty amazing today. Also since the '80s/'90s power supplies, analogue stages, and transports have improved too.
