How about a platform such as maple butcher block, even cut up in smaller pieces seems to work good as foot supports. Chassis are typically ringy, so sometimes just opening the top is OK and even substituting a piece of wood. If this works out, then do the same for your other components. (I use to try weights, but overall I gave up on that idea and I find the butcher blocks far superior.
Wait, I have more suggestions. The ultimate el-cheapo isolation platform is pergo-type flooring and there is one with a foam pad attached. Two layers seems to work good, even one layer is OK. I am looking for black flooring of this type as I prefer it to the oak style that I have seveal pieces and they work when I run out of maple block.
