I was able to hear this DAC last night in my own system, and I have to agree wholeheartedly.The kit that I heard used mostly Blackgate caps, and therefore still had a long way to go with regards to burn-in (it had just recently been assembled), but still had a very good sound: forward, but not too edgy; lower noise floor, therefore more solid imaging; larger images, giving a greater sense of depth. Good bass, too!
For ~$290, delivered, this kit is on the top of my list for ways to use my tax return this coming spring... after my next tattoo, of course!
