Using Nordost Valhalla = Cheating :-)

Yep, I've tried Nordost Valhalla interconnects and speaker cable (but not the powercord and digital link), Cooked them, and used them on a wide variety of equipment. Like any good cable, Valhalla gets out of the way, and lets the gear speak for itself. So yeah, it could very well be that not having a top-flight cable is preventing the CD36 from shining.

My best man uses SPM Reference (which costs more than the gear itself!) on his Arcam receiver, and couldn't be happier.

But c'mon, you just opened yourself up to all of the flames about using $$$$ cables. Don't worry, sir, I've had that happen to me time again. To which I say, I'm heartened that you've actually taken the time to check out $$$$ cables such as Valhalla, and know exactly what they can and cannot do.
