The only difference between "audio" CDR blanks and data blanks is that a license fee has been paid to the powers that be on the audio CDRs. I've been archiving my LP collection for many years now (I started when a single blank CDR cost more than one dollar.) I've never bought a single "audio" CDR yet.I would recommend a quality brand of CDR. I've settled on Taiyo Yuden.
I would also definitely suggest you stay away from paper stick-on labels. The adhesive can interfer with reflective layer and cause the disk to fail after a number of years.
Finally, you are right that a CDRW is only for situations when the disk is going to re-written more than once. Therefore there is no reason to use a CDRW for LP archiving since the music on the LP is not going to change. CDRW's have the added disadvantage of not being as reflective as CDR disks and therefore will not work in some players, particularly stand-alone, non-computer players.
