AN~Japan silver wires are not bright at al.I ended up downsizing a bit to finance other projects but it was a nice cable. A bit expensive at retail, but not too bad if the price is right.
I'm a silver fan and have had Kimber KCAGS, Siltechs, the ANs and I couldn't complain with the AN~Js.
I ran them from a Sony SCD-1/Dodson 217 mkII D>Blue Circle Galatea 3.1 preamp and then from the BC>Wright Mono 8s/Cary SLAM-100s. About the only place that I didn't run them was from my SF Phono 1 SE tube stage.
I remember looking for that 4th pair to run between the stage and the pre and then things change.
I currently run a full complement of Stealth PGS gold ICs and the presentation is golden!
