If you've reached the point where all good DACs sound pretty much the same, then you owe it to yourself to audition a Non Oversampling DAC. The Audio Note line is a great place to start. I do think they are more of a music lovers DAC compared to what you call a normal DAC (solid state and up/oversampling).There is some healthy competition now in the non oversampling DAC market. But choose wisely. Decide first if you like the NOS platform (I have a feeling you will) and then let your budget help you decide just how far to take it. As you would expect, you usually get what you pay for. These are good times for those of us with lots of redbook CDs.
