"I have not and do not plan on using the DIP. I'm not sure what the benefit would be and why the M24 would need this to sound better. "I actually use two of them in my system with my 22Bse DAC and I can say the difference is huge. Jitter is the reason and it is an important source of degradation in digital audio. When I put a dip in my system it was like focusing a camera lens. The sound snapped into place, became more transparent with better imaging. All aspects improved. I took it to a friends who had a very nice belt drive CEC transport. He thought that there was no way to improve the sound of his digital because his transport was so good. WRONG! Before we put in the DIP, imaging was imprecise and the overall sound was a bit wooly. The Dip made large improvement in the soundstage and image focus and removed the wool. He was shocked about the difference. If you are using an outboard DAC you almost have to have a jitter reducer. Now I haven't tried it with something like a ML 37 or other very sophisitcated transports that claim to reduce jitter but with normal cd transports the difference is very obvious.
