Thank you PaulI've tried it both ways and the way you recommend is significantly better. This is interesting as the demo I brought home to compare against my previous player was set up incorrectly.
Even set up incorrectly it still was much better than anything I had previously tried (all very well respected CD and SACD players in the 5K to 10K range).
Now with only 15 hours of breakin time on my own unit (and the springs set up properly), the Bluenote is surprisingly good and beats my previous reference by a wide margin.
