Auric is supposed to be removable with dish washing detergent. I have tried washing does seem to remove the haze from the disc, but it does take effort. Does it totally go away? I don't know.
I have cleaned cd's that I had dupes of and after cleaning they did appear to found identical - this was after realizing that at some point in my system's life Auric no longer improved the sound. Some of the others I have read about actually scratch the surface, in which case you are stuck.
If I had to do it over again, I'd stay away from all such treatments. Ted suggest Shin-o-la. That seems to be a cleaner rather than some sort of gel or polish, so that may be safe. But is it better than soapy water, or no cleaning?
