I have the Apollo too, really nice sound. There were a few glitches but they were real good about replacing units. So far this one works well. I'd say it is detailed but not bright. The Jupiter is a bit brighter but has better dynamics and a better midrange. Some of the things you hear and had'nt noticed on the dark side of moon disc are due to the remix. To the guy who wondered about ring dac arcam. I used to own CD23 so can only go from memory, but thought the Apollo had a similar "organic" sound as the 23 had. Arcam maybe a bit more detailed and a touch more foward, both are excellent machines. The Rega has an analog quality about it that I really like. One last note- as one who cares about such things, Rega is the only one left of the big three UK companies still made in UK and dedicated to staying that way. I know it's the way of commerce and such, but its kind of depressing to watch the Heritage of UK audio getting bought out, farmed out, or both.
