I cannot really answer your question as to whether the Ayre will sound better later. I can say probably only. What you have characterized as how it sounds now is consistent with what I often heard initially on components. Time, of course, will tell.I have had speakers, such as Lowthers, where I was told after several years I would hear what they really sounded like?? But usually we are talking about hours or days, not years.
