Upgrade CDP or Pre?

Hey everybody . . I've been pretty happy with my current set up for over a year so I figured it must be time to upgrade something. I can't decide, though, where the most benefit . .to upgrade the cd player or the pre-amp. What do you think? At the $2000 (used) level . .what is the next purchase? Thanks in advance.

Current set-up:
cdp: rotel 1072
pre-amp: legacy audio streamline (I don't know much about this pre-amp. It was made by Coda and seems pretty decent but it's my first and only pre-amp so I have not much to compare it to.
amp: Pass x-150 (orig version)
spks: Sonus Faber Signum monitors
