Upsamplers, DACs, jitter, shakes and analogue withdrawals, this is it.

I Don't Know, But...

...As for balanced Nordost cables, I only had the Blue Heaven and Red Dawn. The BH sounded kind of flat. In fact, it made the CD 303/300 sound like merely a higher-end Rotel RCD-971. Yuck. The Red Dawn was clearly more present and differentiated. I thought it was a good match. I have experience with the single-ended SPM Ref and Valhalla, and these are very, very high class indeed with the 303/300.

I've written at length about interconnects on the CD 303/300. The CD player is of high end calibre, that you WILL be able to hear differences in interconnects. In many ways, I preferred the cheap Kimber Timbre over the expensive KS-1130. So I do not automatically assume that the more you pay for interconnects, the better sound you'll get. You just have to try 'em out in your own system, with the music you love, and judge for yourself which is best fo you.
