I tried RCAs (clear tops, and also the older black plates) I think for the price, they are one of the best values out there. If you dont want to pay the big bucks for Tele ECC802S, and cant find the elusive Siemens chrome plates...my third choice would be regular Telefunkens. They sound great and are not too hard to find.
