Hi all,
I merely felt it an obligation to share what happened upon exchanging power cords around moments ago, as I placed a Jena Labs Crimson Red RX ( silver plated copper ) on my Aurender X100L music server this time last year | where it remained until about 10 minutes ago, as I've been sitting here pondering through options of which type of plating to use on either the Chinese Odin Gold or Odin 2 Silver cords, and was weighing through the brands other than Furutech or Neotech | Cardas Audio, as I've seemingly needed something other than the common Viborg | Monosaudio types as well..., and found myself going back to a brand discovered in 2014, which as you might've guessed it is " IeGO Dreamworks or IeGO Power as it's referred in some corners of the world.
And was about to narrow my choices down to an Oyaide AP-004 Armored Series IEC | Female plug which was to have its shell replaced with the modern make of the Monosaudio F109R | whereas the M109R ( Rhodium Plated Copper ) AC Male plug was to be used on the opposite end of either cord | but then rethinking what Judith had mentioned about certain brands | plating and how she's fond of using rhodium plated copper AC Male plugs in tandem with un-plated beryllium copper IEC Female types, as much like me, she's more taken with a detailed type of presentation | of which I fully understand | can appreciate.
Longer story shorter ( not in my world on average, but I'll give it a go ) upon switching the power cords around ( whereas either Odin were placed on the DAC ) yet once the Jena Labs Crimson Red RX power cord was placed onto the Denafrips Pontus ll, I immediately knew within my usual 2-3 tracks it's a wrap. No more power cords required | no desire to search for any other power plug connectors, which in itself is a blessing, as this type of moving about this or that brand or plug can never end, unless one has a basic ideal of which flavor is needed on each component?, as no one size fits all.
As I see it, this limits my needs for the system down to one item, or should I say one very very overlooked set of banana plugs to be used on 3 pairs of silver plated copper or pure silver SCs, of which I've decided I'm willing to ride or die with the Oyaide SGBN | SRBN which are silver plated gold as well as silver plated rhodium types | at which point as mentioned earlier on, my journey has indeed reached its zenith.
Said information on the IeGO 8095 as well as the 8075 ( rhodium plated copper) plugs was left awhile back by yours truly, but just in case you missed it?, ( as well as a more insightful discussion over on A'Gon ) here's the skinny once again, you owe it to yourself to at the very least hear these before buying anything costlier like the Furutech FI 46 | 48 | 50 types. As I've to believe this type of presentation would in fact be more than effective in most system(s) say details:
8095-AG Ti2000 ( M ) | Pure Silver Rhodium Plated
SOUND CHARACTERISTICS:
* The sound is smooth, neutral and transparent
* Three-dimensional deep soundstage, perfect sound focusing
* Deep articulated and fast bass
* The midrange is open without a hint of coloring
* Fine details and excellent resolution in all range
* Excellent performance of all macro and microdynamic nuances of music
These connectors, in comparison with other silver products, don't have bright and sharp sound. IeGO silver connectors sound smooth, neutral, and rich, with excellent dynamic power and lots of natural details.
8075-RH Ti2000 ( M ) | Rhodium Plated Copper
* The sound is transparent, balanced and accurate, very clean and smooth
* Excellent depth and width of sound stage, perfect sound focusing
* The bass is deep, natural and fast
* The midrange is informative and open
* Good details and resolution in all range
* Amazing performance of all dynamic nuances of music.
You've been warned | as always in parting..., be well | stay safe to you all.
