On A Final Note!

Before I enter into semi-retirement once again.

I merely wanted to pass along an observation I had moments ago, as I've tired my very best to understand how to use the various plating of all connectors needed within one's system, and then reimagined the possibilities of what could be?.

Once again I'd like to pay homage to Duster for having shared some many things of interest when it came to most things made in China | as said information did bring about many positive changes in my system over the years | said concept which came to my in an effort to select 3 different brands of silver plated copper or pure silver SCs to suit either my Naim Audio SuperNait 3 | Pathos Acoustic Classic Model One MK ll lead to me paying very very close attention to Naim's actual cabling loom, especially the more upscale Super Lumina line, which consists of said silver plated copper wiring | uses silver plated copper connectors for both RCA | Banana Plugs, after having placed orders on sets of 4 each of the Viborg Red Copper | Silver | Rhodium Plated Copper plugs and having gotten them yesterday.

As it's very common for my wife | I to rise around 7:45 or 8:36AM on the dot, just to chat, yet as I wandered out front, and began thinking somewhat out of the box..., I found myself terminating the end of a pair of SCs nearest the SN3 binding post with said silver plated copper banana plugs ( seemingly once again it's what they use on their cables ) | placed the red copper banana plugs on the speakers binding post, and merely into say 20 seconds of the track " Wise One " by John Coltrane, the sense of separation | integration of notes | truth of timbre | tonality | underlined bass notes reproduced a type of realism I had never encountered beforehand | as it isn't casted into stone one has to use the same type of plating on both ends of their SCs, I'd say this is more than worth one's effort, as you'd always reverse the process should you not like ( love ) said effect?.

I'd add if one takes the time to really listen to their gear | understands each components voicing, it becomes clear what their strengths or weaknesses are, in selecting said plating type to enhance or minimize its weaknesses | somewhere in between one discovers a certain blending of both plating types that open up again the possibilities of what if?.

Spending time to understand | act accordingly to what's actually needed for one's system is free | I for one could never uncertain buddies who buy very very electronics or speakers, yet are ready to sell them | move onto something else, before allowing said products to have fully settled in, or worst yet..., buying components upon some so called friend's recommendation, when said friend don't have a ear and his opinions if anything should be questioned. Being an old school type of music lover, there was a time when say myself and three other local friends, would gas up an SUV, and travel outwards as far as 700 miles to visit an audio dealer just to sample what was what?..., as I've always viewed it, if say for example my credit card had upwards of $30.000 sitting on it, and I heard say a nice tandem of an integrated amp | speakers | caking loom within said max, I'm asking the dealer to box it up, hell I'm happy to take the floor demos depending upon their condition?, and lowered price, what I'm getting at here, is I've actually heard how these components play together, and if it's " clicking as a tandem ", there's no need to fall into the mindset of someone buying different brands based upon any reviews class ratings, when one very seldom if ever looks at the entire contents of said reviewers system, one doesn't buy a pair Magico A3's, and then pair them with an 80s Onkyo receiver, or would they?.

If said combined system is capable of drawing you in?, or causes a positive emotional reaction?, I see this as a good thing. Don't be swayed into thinking costlier items sound better, remember the day when say the NAD 3020 integrated amp or Wharfdale Diamond Speakers hit American shore, and all the confusion they created, much like these Chinese NordOst cables, where to date I've only spotted one member that didn't like them, reading between the lines carry's weight, if one isn't swayed by the BS biases of the origin of most of this stuff.

Stepping back now | peace out fellow music first lovers ( hint | hint ). At the end of the day, ask yourself one thing, " do you trust in your abilities to hear? | knows what's what? ". If it moves you to tears?, the system is doing its job.
