As a matter of fact just looking into said Monosaudio M109R | F109R, it appears the shell is made from carbon fiber, I merely purchased it because of its build quality | hadn't paid attention to what the actual shell material was:

So replacing the iec female plugs with one of the red copper ones from the same company, which I already have, means this should be an easier task that I first thought it'd be.
