As someone whom has collected over 9 sets of different plating of said banana plugs, I've come to view things as it sticks me with what has become the norm with most cable manufacturers, whereas those that produce pure copper cables tend to use either silver plated copper connectors | whereas those like NordOst whom makes silver plated copper wires, often are seen with gold plated copper connectors | yet I do love and often use said red copper connectors from the likes of Viborg | Monosaudio where I'm in doubt of which of the others seemingly might serve said purpose.

As Duster whom was always an advocate of unplated copper, in hindsight made a great deal of sense in recommending this option, as it does offer a nice sense of balance versus the others..., as I've read of late which made a great deal of sense as well in using pure copper connectors, was to put clear finger nail polish onto them to stop them from oxidizing, whom would've thunk it?, but logically it should definitely work.

But I've to add, I'm seriously thinking about pursuing the Viborg pure silver banana plugs | as they do look extremely well made, as my photo here shows.
