To date I'm aware that both you and amandarae have changed or added different banana plugs onto your cables, might I ask if you tinned the ends on yours?, I'm also curious if you merely bent the wires on the end, and inserted them into the standard sized heat shrink that came with your plugs?.

I ask as I'm thinking about adding some better quality pure or should I say red copper ones onto my pair..., please advise.
